Amazing
Grace gets
third win
❯❯ Branden Grace
became the first
player on a major
men’s tour to win
three times in 2012,
with his three-stroke
victory over Nicolas
Colsaerts in the
Volvo China Open.
Grace shot 21-under
267 at Binhai Lake
GC in Tianjin, China.
A 23-year-old
South African, Grace
also won the Joburg
Open and the Volvo
Golf Champions
earlier this year. “It
shows you the stan-
dard of golf that I am
playing right now,”
Grace said. “To have
three wins on the Eu-
ropean Tour at this
stage of my career is

Grace was exempt
in 2009 but failed

finishing in the top
20 three times in 26
starts. He attributed

Putting helps
Miyazato nab
Lotte title
❯❯ It’s hard to believe
that someone who
was tied for the tour
lead in putts per GIR
would need help with
her stroke. But that
was the case with Ai
Miyazato, and after
tips from her father,
who doubles as a
coach, the Japanese
star won for the first
time in 2012.
Miyazato made
three birdies on her
final six holes to beat
Meena Lee and Aza-
hara Munoz by four
shots in the LPGA
Lotte Championship
at Ko Olina GC in
Kapolei, Hawaii.
